Chair and Table Setup Guidelines

Immediate Guest Space
Lateral seating - allow approximately 24"-30".
NOTE: Arm and oversized chairs may require more space.  Sketch

Allow 18" for guest from edge of table to chair back.  Sketch


  Table Spacing
  Allow 42" between squared tables - allow chair back to back - leaves 6" to push out.  Sketch

Allow 60" between squared tables - allow chair back to back - leaves 26" service aisle.  Sketch

Allow 24" between corners of diagonal tables - customer access - no aisle.  Sketch

Allow 30" between corners of diagonal tables - customer access - narrow aisle.  Sketch

NOTE: California state law states that there must be a minimum of 54" between tables.

Keep In Mind
Diagonal seating saves floor space.  
If space is very limited, booth only requires 8 square feet per person - aisle included.  
Minimum aisle dimension is 36" in perimeter areas. 42" is preferred between rows.  Sketch
